Tips for modelling

The first tip is to take a realistic look at yourself and do not just take on board what friends or family

or boyfriends may say ,whether positive or negative remarks.

Then decide what style of modelling is for you.

For instance, if you have chosen Topless work, have a look at the competition and see what /who you are up against and ask yourself why would a photographer/agency  chose me in preference to other available models.

You do of course need to find the right photographer/agency that will cater for your speciality.

You also need to build up a comprehensive portfolio of relevant pictures to show prospective employers what style really suits you best.

Also, you must act professionally at all times, the biggest problem in this industry is models making appointments and cancelling at the last minute or indeed just not turning up for the shoot.

You also need to be aware of the type of shots being proposed at a shoot and if necessary, do not wear a bra or tight fitting garments to the shoot as they will leave unsightly impression marks on your skin which are time consuming( expensive) to remove afterwards on the computer images.

A lot of glamour shoots are shot in "High Key"  style and this employs the use of a lot of flash lighting which can wash out your facial appearance, so expect to wear more foundation, eye make up and lip gloss than you may wear normally.

Also ,skin tone is very important and in many cases a good even tan can give better results than a pale skin tone, but try and avoid hand applied tanning agents ,as they invariably do not spread evenly and leave unsightly blotches which again are time consuming to edit out of images.
